A fiber pigtail is a great solution for fusion splicing inside of a fiber patch panel or fiber optic patch panel. Each strand is terminated on one end and the other end is left blunt so that it can be spliced to your drop cable to eliminate the need for annoying field terminations and save time.
12 Colors Multi-cores Fiber Optic Fan-out Pigtails, the end of the pigtail is stripped and fusion spliced to a single fiber of a multi-fiber trunk to break out the multi-fiber cable into its component fibers for connection to the end equipment.
